Perfect Lake Malone Get Away

We’ve stayed on the same part of the lake before so the location (not a lot of boat traffic, beautiful scenery) and availability of kayaks was the biggest draw. Every day we saw a new animal: beavers, armadillos, deer, turtles, and all kinds of birds. Bring binoculars and identification apps or books! The house was clean and comfortable for an active family with big and small kids and grandparents with some mobility challenges who visited for the day. We had a couple of hiccups (trees down from massive storms a week before, a leaky kitchen faucet) but the owner was exceptionally responsive and nothing affected our ability to have a great time!

Beautiful lake home on the end of a very quiet drive! This was the perfect family home to enjoy both indoors and out. The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, utensils, spices, etc and bathroom has ample towels and wash cloths. The kayaks were an absolute treat to use on the gorgeous lake, and the trampoline was fun and not something we usually see at a rental! Keep in mind that this location is pretty remote and plan ahead when it comes to groceries and various toiletries. As long as you come prepared, you will absolutely love everything this home has to offer!
